The family of Tameka Foster — the ex wife of Usher, has released a statement regarding her son Kyle Glover. As previously reported, the 11-year-old was critically injured in a boating accident this past weekend. In a statement to CNN on Tuesday (July 10th), the family said, “We know God’s in control, and are leaning on our faith in him and his word at this most difficult time. We firmly believe in the power of prayer and ask that you all continue to pray and lift Kyle up, as it’s the best way we can all support him now.”

Reports say that Kyle is showing no brain activity. There are also rumors going around that Tameka is unwilling to remove her son from life support. Hospital officials at Egleston Children’s hospital in Atlanta has declined to release any information on the child’s condition.

Kyle and an unidentified 15-year-old girl were injured Friday afternoon (July 6th) on Lake Lanier when a family friend Jeffrey S. Hubbard– who was on a watercraft, reportedly collided into them. The girl suffered a broken arm and a laceration on her head. Kyle was unresponsive at the scene. Both victims were airlifted to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources said there was no alcohol involved in the accident, and no charges have been filed.
